Guide Trips 

When booking with Blue Water Guide Service you can be confident that you are booking a trip that is custom to your wants and needs. We take pride in chasing the fish YOU want. Chose between Walleye, Bass, Panfish or a multispecies experience in the Iowa Great Lakes.

We fish many of the lakes in the area including Big Spirit, East Okoboji, West Okoboji and Silver Lake. We can accommodate accordingly if you would like to experience one lake over the other.

All Trips are run out of a 21 foot Warrior Tiller with a 200HP Mercury Motor and top of the line Garmin Electronics with LiveScope! Be confident that you are fishing in comfort with the latest technology!

4 Hour Trip - $350

Our most popular trip! Perfect for those looking for an afternoon or morning spent on the water.  

6 Hour Trip - $550

Looking for just a little more than a half day on the water? Our 6 hour trip is for you. 

8 Hour Trip - $750

A full day on the boat. This is for those wanting to spend a full day fishing. Best for those who want to see everything that the Iowa Great Lakes has to offer.

  • Prices are for 2 people. $50 per person after 2 people. Limit: 4 Clients per boat

  • Follow boats are $150 Each

  • We can accommodate big groups on the water! Give us a call for more details.

 

Gratuity: 

Gratuity is customary and greatly appreciated! If you enjoyed your trip with us, the tip should be 20%. We go above and beyond to make sure that you are given the best service in town!

Walleye Trips

We provide the highest quality walleye trips in the Iowa Great Lakes. Our peak season for walleye trips is from May to the Middle of June. Highest catch rates will be during these times but, we certainly do get on good bites outside of peak. Techniques will consist of casting, live bait and trolling. 

Bass Trips

Its no secret that the Iowa Great Lakes holds some of the biggest bass in the state. Our bass bite gets going in May and holds strong for the entire summer. This is a great trip for folks who want to get bit a bunch, enjoy the strong fight and let the fish swim.  

Panfish Trips

Panfish trips are a Okoboji classic. East and West Okoboji have phenomenal populations of panfish consisting of Bluegills, Crappies and Yellow Bass. These trips are action packed all season long and perfect for young and old alike. 

What we provide

  • All fishing gear for all applications needed on your trip. We run up to date and premium gear for each trip. Fenwick, Abu Garcia, Penn and Pflueger rods and reels.

  • Any live bait, tackle and artificial baits needed for the trip.

  • Life Jackets (if youth, please bring properly fitted jacket)

  • Fish Cleaning services for Walleye Trips. All Walleye trips will include cleaned and packaged cleaning services. Panfish cleaning can be included at an additional cost. 

  • Experience and knowledge to get you on the fish you wish to peruse!

All trips run out of a Warrior 2090 BT powered by a 200HP Mercury Verado. The boat is rigged with new Garmin Electronics including LiveScope! This boat provides us with the ability to run up to 4 clients at a time.

What to bring 

● Up-to-date Iowa fishing license (third line is optional)
● Sunscreen
● Sunglasses and hat
● Rain gear and/or warm clothing (please dress appropriate for the weather)
● Drinks and snacks (in boat cooler and storage available)
● Patience and a positive attitude 
● your favorite headlight (one will be provided and available for each client)
